Australian Bollards – Protecting Melbourne’s Parliamentary Precinct

Positioned at the centre of Melbourne’s Parliamentary precinct, ISPT’s Casselden Place is a convenient hub for several locations in the vicinity.             

Located at 2 Lonsdale Street, opposite Parliament Station, this 39 level A Grade office tower is home to several corporations and agencies including the Department of Immigration.   

To protect Casselden Place from hostile vehicles, Australian Bollards installed several hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM) solutions like the AB-RK220-S around the outside of the Parliamentary precinct, creating 360 degrees of public security.

The AB-RK220-S or Anti Ram Raid Removable Key Lockable Bollard is installed in a core drilled fashion and is made from 304 Grade Stainless Steel, ensuring a strong level of quality and security making any location safe from hostile vehicle threats.

As well as providing public security, the AB-RK220-S is also a convenient, efficient solution that can be removed when access is required to the premises.

Another solution Australian Bollards has installed at Lonsdale Street is our AB-DB100-S Designer Curved Bollards, which is protecting the Urban Workshop which is located on 50 Lonsdale Street.    

Designer Curved Bollards are made from 304 Grade Stainless Steel and installed in a surface or sub surface fashion, reinforcing them from vehicle borne improvised explosive devices (VBIED). Like the AB-RK220-S, the Designer Curved Bollard can also be removed.

Both the AB-RK220-S and AB-DB100-S provide pedestrians, buildings and businesses with heavy duty protection while displaying an aesthetically pleasing stainless steel appearance.
