Fully Automatic Retractable Fence
The Fully Automatic Retractable Fence is a hydraulically operated, below-ground security barrier designed to control vehicle access while maintaining a clear and unobstructed roadway when lowered. Individual vertical steel barrier elements retract into an underground housing, leaving the surface substantially flush for normal vehicle and pedestrian movement. The system is suited to entrances requiring a physical security barrier without the operating clearance required by conventional swing or sliding gates.
The system uses an integrated hydraulic drive, combining a compact motor and hydraulic cylinder assembly with smooth variable-speed operation. The manufacturer specifies approximately 2.6 seconds raising time and 4.5 seconds lowering time, with remote control and manual opening provisions for access and emergency operation.
Constructed in stainless steel with polished or brushed surface options, the retractable fence is designed for outdoor operation in demanding environments. The system is rated IP68, operates from 220 V ±10%, 50 Hz power with a 350 W drive, and is specified for operating temperatures from -30°C to +60°C. Available above-ground barrier heights include approximately 1000 mm, 1200 mm and 1500 mm, with configurable wall thicknesses from 6–12 mm.
The manufacturer also lists M30 / M50 anti-ram configurations, allowing the system to be specified for higher-security vehicle access applications. Final impact performance and certification should be confirmed against the selected configuration and project requirements.
Installation is based on a sub-surface foundation, drainage system, control wiring and reinforced concrete structure, allowing the complete barrier assembly to retract below pavement level. The design incorporates drainage connections and dedicated electrical conduits to support reliable underground operation.
